The Lasting Hope is a band from southern Indiana with a desire to reach this generation with the Gospel through not only their music, but their lives. The Lasting Hope was formed in 2010 by Logan Oakes (Lead Vocals/Guitar) and Craig Banister (Guitar). In 2013 the band headed into the studio with Mark Lee Townsend (former guitarist of DC Talk, Producer for Relient K, Owl City, House of Heroes, The Wedding, and more). The band released their first EP in 2014 titled Sunsets & Second Chances. This EP featured two singles, “Something New” and “Lifeline.” Both songs found their way onto the Billboard Christian Rock Radio Airplay chart. “Something New” peaked at #5 in September of 2014 and “Lifeline” reached #20 in April of 2015. The Lasting Hope has had the opportunity to open for artists such as, Toby Mac, Mandisa, Ryan Stevenson, 7eventh Time Down, Hawk Nelson, Switchfoot, Mercy Me, Colton Dixon, and more. The Lasting Hope has continued to craft their sound.
