The Nail piercing the hand represents the corrupt churches enforcing their religion onto people which only ends with more people to fall away from there faith and ruins their eternity. The grass also represents humanity as a whole cause all humans come and go just as fast as the grass does. And the picture as a whole represents Jesus dying on the cross.
